Name Labels- Australia Parents’ Smart Move For Their Kids School Belongings
One of the problems that many parents face every school year is when their kids lost a few school belongings even before the school year ends. Before the school years starts, you make it a point to but the things that your kids may need at school and prepare them so your kids will be ready to face the new challenges. However, even before the school ends, you notice that a few of your kid’s belongings have already lost. And so, you start buying them again which can really be a huge waste of money.
This can actually be minimised or even be totally avoided if you know some smart moves shared by smart parents. Since one of the main reasons why your kid’s things get lost is because of mix-ups, you can try putting name labels. Australia parents share some tips on which items need labels on them. Check them out below:
- Put name labels for your kid’s shoes and socks. Shoes and socks are among the most common ones to get lost especially while your kids are having their P.E activity where they need to take their shoes and socks off and put on their P.E. uniform. Kids are usually in a hurry during these times and they can easily pick the wrong shoe or socks to put on. And as a result, other kids will also pick the wrong ones and everything will be mixed up. Using name labels is one very smart move to help your kid know his own pair of shoes and socks without having to spend too much time checking every pair.
- Put name labels for lunchboxes. Lunchboxes can also be lost especially if your kids are required to have uniformed lunchboxes at school. Some parents put name tags but are easily taken off days after mainly because they are not waterproof. Lunchboxes are usually made from plastic and if you use an ordinary sticker, it may be peeled off when washed. Putting on personalised labels for your kid’s water bottle is also a good way to keep it safe since most water bottles that school kids have are almost the same in shape and color.
- Put name labels for your kid’s art supplies. Art supplies may also look the same when in school. Kids may use the same brands of coloring pencils, sharpener, erasers and scissors. Putting stickers on the art supplies with your kid’s name on it will prevent other kids from taking the ones that are not theirs.
